Our team has successfully delivered major projects across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.Job DescriptionThe Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple construction projects. This involves cost estimation, contract administration, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project teams, ensuring costs are controlled while maintaining quality and schedule. You will also be responsible for managing subcontractor packages, preparing tenders, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to client expectations.Key Responsibilities:Manage the cost planning, estimation, and budget control for assigned projects.Prepare and submit tender documents, including pricing and cost breakdowns.Conduct regular financial reviews and provide cost reports to the project and management teams.Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with specifications and project requirements.Work alongside the project team to monitor progress and ensure financial targets are met.Review and approve variations, ensuring accurate and fair contract adjustments.Assist with the management of procurement, including the negotiation of major plant and equipment contracts.Participate in site visits and meetings, providing input on financial matters and offering cost-saving solutions.Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations within the project scope.Support project handover and closeout, ensuring all financials are reconciled and finalised.Qualifications:Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or related cost management role.Strong understanding of project cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting.Proficient in the use of industry-standard software such as Trimble/Amtech for estimating and cost management.Experience with Electrical and Mechanical installations is highly desirable.Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.Solid understanding of construction contracts and legal frameworks.Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with clients, designers, and project teams.Additional InformationWe believe in fostering a flexible and inclusive workplace culture, promoting personal growth and professional development.
