Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Location: England, Greater London, Wimbledon, Merton.Job Type: Permanent, Term Time, Full-Time hours 8:30-15:30Primary Industry: Education and TrainingSalary: £83.85 - £100 Per dayBenefits: PAYEQualifications: Teaching Assistant Level 1, Education.Job Duties: Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.Support students with social, emotional, and mental health issues (SEMH).Help manage challenging behaviour and provide a safe learning environment.Assist in the supervision of students during break times and outings.Provide a positive and nurturing learning environment. Required Qualifications: Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualificationEducation background Experience: Previous experience working with students with ASD and SEMHFirst aid trainingKnowledge of safeguarding procedures Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an educational settingAbility to manage challenging behaviour effectivelyGood communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational skills Preferred Qualifications: Additional qualifications in SEN support and understanding autism.Training in behaviour management techniques. Working Conditions: Work primarily in a classroom setting.May involve occasional outings or trips with students.Collaborate with teaching staff and other support assistants.Full-time hours with standard school term dates.
