132kV Commissioning Engineer – SSEN, NPG, UKPN Patches - £Excellent Day Rate - 12 Month Contract + Extensions – Site Based - Outside IR35 - November Start Date Have you got experience commissioning 132kV substation protection & control systems? Are you looking for a long term contract which allows you to gain new DNO authorisations? If so, please read on... Responsibilities: Lead the commissioning of 132kV substation equipment, including transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and SCADA systems. Perform testing, fault diagnosis, and commissioning activities in line with industry standards and client requirements. Ensure all commissioning tasks are completed on time and meet quality, health, and safety standards. Maintain accurate commissioning records and documentation. Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Requirements: Strong experience in commissioning 132kV substations, including transformers, relays, and switchgear. Familiarity with UK utility networks such as UKPN, NPG, and SSEN. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices. Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Interested?
