Senior Construction Engineer

Job Overview:The Senior Construction Support Engineer is responsible for the following: Work as part of the home office construction team to support FEEDs and proposals, and ensure technical deliverables, estimates and construction input. Supports project execution for ongoing projects. Supporting Construction Management in the home office and on-site. Shall apply functional and technical knowledge and skills to perform at a high level in role understanding the market.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Work with Proposal Teams to develop cost estimates and proposal documents for project BidsWork as part of FEED teams to develop construction execution philosophy, with input into engineering and procurement plansDevelop detailed cost estimates for various phases of projects for input into estimating teamsReview of project deliverables by other disciplines or subcontractorsDevelop and update corporate procedures and processes for construction functionSet up of AWP in early phases of projects or proposals and coordination with other disciplinesPerforms constructability reviews and inputs into engineering for FEED, Proposals and executionSupport Home office construction teams on active projects as requiredReporting to senior management on project progressBe office-based with potential for remote site work if agreed by all partiesUnderstands HSE requirements and incorporates them into execution planningUnderstands Quality requirements and incorporates them into execution planningDevelopment of subcontract packages for construction execution and review of subcontractor proposalsReview of equipment requirements for projects and plans for optimum utilisation including big-ticket items such as cranes etc.Review work processes & procedures and identify optimizations and improvementsEssential Qualifications and Education:Minimum of 7 years in the office and Site Construction FunctionEngineering degree in an engineering disciplineExperience in the setup, administration and execution of AWP philosophy and associated software is desiredCompetent in MS suite software, AutoCAD and NavisworksAbility to develop read and interpret Construction Drawings and specificationsHas the ability to work as part of a construction team or as the sole construction representative on a projectExperience in energy transition or large-scale projects
