I'm recruiting for a Buyer for a leading manufacturing company in the Burton on Trent area. More details on the role below: Company - Leading manufacturing company with a global brand name Job Title - Buyer Location - Burton On Trent area Salary - Up to £38K + benefits Hour - 7.30am-4.00pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am-12.30pm Friday Role * Respond to MRP and requisition generated demands and issuing requests for quotation * Placement of orders in line with the company delegated authority procedures. * Maintain stock item, purchase order & supplier records. * Using reports to identify potential shortages in the flow of key components. * Re-scheduling of components to prevent under/over stocking. * Supplier relationship management * Cost saving and product improvement initiatives * Expediting , rejects and returns * Invoice queries * Attend Production, Quality and Safety meetings Requirements * Minimum of 3-5 years purchasing experience * Experience of MRP systems * Strong IT skills including advance MS Excel * Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Desirable – CIPS qualification and Sage experience
