We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Admin to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration function within the department, along with general EHS support as required.ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities Ensure EHS Training (Inductions / Contractor / Statutory) are provided, monitored, recorded and delivered internallyProcurement of PPE Stocks / Operational Equipment / Safety ItemsAssist and support in the general management of the EHS dept (EHS / First Aid / Fire / Training/ Health Hygiene)Support in the reporting and investigation of accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses and work-related ill health on the company EHS Reporting SystemParticipate in workplace EHS Audits and Inspections where requiredMonitor and follow up EHS actions and prepare monthly performance metricsSupport EHS Committee Meetings and maintain records (Minutes / Actions)Support EHS Advisor / EHS Manager in implementation of effective environmental, health, safety processesSupport to line management on EH&S issues (incidents, investigations, risk assessments, procedures employee concerns, emergency preparedness and changes affecting EHS)Support EHS Team / Managers to ensure all significant risks are covered by a suitable and sufficient risk assessment process (COSHH, Manual Handling and Ergonomic). QualificationsSkills & ExperiencePrevious experience in an EHS advisory rolePrevious experience in a manufacturing background would be advantageousGood computer skills, must be competent with Outlook, Excel & WordExcellent organizational skillsAble to motivate and supportExcellent communication skills both verbal and written Hours37 hours per week, Monday - FridayFlexi-time is available upon completion of probationBenefits include:25 days plus bank holidays, with leave entitlement increasing with length of serviceCompany eventsStaff canteenMatched plus 1% pension contributions (up to 10%)Reward and recognition schemesOn-site physioFree on-site parking
