Overview: The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, MUFG Retirement Solutions will report to the FD MUFG RS and have accountability for the financial performance management of the EMEA P&L’s, providing financial support to MUFG RS through business partnering. The role holder will support the EMEA based MUFG RS businesses to deliver the approved in year budget and forecasts through effective month end review and performance reporting, monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgeting, whilst supporting the MUFG RS Leadership Team to drive the strategic role of the business and provide a strong return on acquisition and capital investments.  In addition, the Head of FP&A will deliver financial best practice to align with the business strategy, focusing on efficiency and a need to drive continuous improvement of processes within Finance and the broader MUFG RS business globally. The role is based on a hybrid basis from our city centre office in London, so you will need to be within a commutable distance to enable you to be in the office each week.  Stakeholders for this role are also based globally, so you will need flexibility with your working pattern to enable you to work closely with these colleagues. Benefits: 26 days annual leave, plus a wellbeing day, a volunteer day, bank holidays and the opportunity to buy up to 5 days’ extra each year Health, wellbeing and lifestyle rewards that can be tailored to support you and your family.  Everything from: Employee Assistance Programme; Discounts on retail and socialising; Travel and technology; cycle2work scheme; A host of gym and fitness subscriptions; Car Salary Sacrifice scheme Appreciate programme: Employee recognition programme Company Pension Scheme Life Assurance Medical Insurance Paid Maternity, Paternity, Adoption Leave, Shared Parental Leave What you need: As with any role, we want to find the right person and we want to make sure you know it’s the right role for you too.  Therefore, you must have: •    A relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with at least 5 – 8 years of demonstrable post-qualification experience within Financial Services, or a financial institution •    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence, influence and motivate others at various levels across the organisation •    A global mindset, with the flexibility, responsiveness and ability to think and work globally to tight deadlines, within a complex, global and matrixed environment, enabling the business to change globally •    Knowledge and experience of working within a regulatory environment, including a sound understanding of key regulatory regimes in the jurisdictions in which MUFG Pension & Market Services operates •    Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse information to enable key issues and actions to be identified and to drive resolutions •    Exceptional financial modelling experience, with strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to create in Excel what the teams require from scenario planning •    Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels •    A strategic mindset, with outstanding organisational and people leadership skills, commercial acumen and the courage, resilience, drive and determination to retain, develop, lead and inspire a high a high-performing team •    Demonstrable success of proactively driving continuous process improvement •    Extensive management accounting experience, working in a large corporate with multiple legal entities, divisions and cost centres Day to Day, you will: •    Be a key contributor to the long-term planning for MUFG Retirement Solutions by developing strategic insights and analysis to support decisions for sustainable profitability •    Develop the commercial narrative and inputs for the MPMS Committees and Board, including the capturing of detailed budget requirements, strategic inputs, competitive pressures and capital expenditure •    Lead the development of high-quality analysis to be provided to the Finance Director, MUFG Retirement Solutions, which can be used to explain business performance to the CEO, MUFG Retirement Solutions, Committees, ELT and Board •    Provide commercial assistance and advice for opex and capex business cases, to ensure all costs and benefits are properly captured and tracked •    Lead the development and ongoing management of KPI’s and metrics for tacking and trending performance •    Perform detailed financial modelling to understand the forecast impact of certain transactions which support the business •    Develop, lead and maintain a high-performing, motivated team, which will include development, coaching, talent management and succession planning, actively growing a high-performing culture across the business and being a role model for MUFG MPMS Values •    Oversee regular reviews of client contracts to ensure MUFG Pension & Markets Services are being correctly charged for with no revenue leakage, in collaboration with the Billing Team •    Develop effective reporting and analytic processes to ensure costs can be managed to budget/forecast, including but not limited to headcount reconciliation, cost of sale evaluation, vendor management and capitalisation •    Work closely with the Procurement Team to support and input into the procurement related activities, in relation to key MUFG Retirement Solutions supplier re-tenders •    Support new and renewing contractual activities, from inception through to contract signing, also including liaising with internal stakeholders •    Lead the monthly rolling forecast process ensuring evaluation, inclusion and/or escalation of material risks and opportunities are managed effectively The above list of key accountabilities is not an exhaustive list and may change from time-to-time based on business needs
