Banijay is built on independence, creative freedom, entrepreneurialism, and commercial acumen. About this role Banijay Music are looking for a Music Team Assistant. The music department provide music services to the wider Banijay Group. The successful candidate will primarily support the team with collating and calculating music usage across Group content and internal production music library. It will also include supporting creative and commercial functions across a wide range of operational and administrative tasks. The successful candidate should have strong organisational skills and be comfortable working in a fluid, fast-moving and close-knit environment. Responsibilities Tracking Productions Calculating and collating music usage data across all productions and producing internal reports Updating and maintaining Productions Tracker Preparing and distributing weekly production summary to team Sourcing production level data and information Music Reporting Logging and maintaining complete catalogue of cue sheets across productions globally Sourcing missing cue sheets Reviewing incoming cue sheets and assisting with errors Assisting with music registration process as necessary Helping pull together and send reporting information to productions Music Library Support Supporting team with internal marketing of Banijay’s music library (i.e. marketing assets, LinkedIn) Prepping metadata, stems & tagging audio for library album ingestion Communicate with production teams to provide music support Registering new users with accounts for our internal library Monitoring library mailbox and reviewing composer submissions Filing and tracking composer agreements Format Music Libraries Assist with management and distribution of music format packages across the group Sourcing master files for new commissioned music Diary Support Assist with Group Heads’ diary management Organising group meetings, travel, team events, etc. Additional Responsibilities Handling invoices and maintaining log of department spend General assistance to Group Director of Music & Secondary Rights General team support to ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations (e.g., preparing presentations). Knowledge and Skills Required: Highly IT literate: Intermediate to advanced Excel and Microsoft Office applications Confident and capable working with large sets of information in different formats using various IT applications and database systems Comfortable managing diaries and project schedules Understanding of music for TV and production music (library music) Exceptional attention to detail Experience with creating promotional marketing assets & newsletters Highly motivated self-starter who’s eager and enthusiastic to get stuck in! Excellent organisational skills with ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently Collaborative and personable approach to the team and wider company Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Passion for music and interest in a broad range of genres Desirable: Experience in a similar role in a music or media company Some familiarity with music cue sheets and TV programme reporting Experience within TV, production music industry, music publisher and/or record label Experience using music cue sheet systems Reporting to Group Director, Music. Contract Type Permanent, full-time. Hours Monday-Friday – 9:30am - 6pm. Hybrid working (3 days per week in the office).
