Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer Are you a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background and experience working with PLCs? We are seeking a Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our client's team. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. What's in it for you: Salary £38,000 - £44,000 Shift Premium Generous O/T rate Healthcare Plan Pension Career progression opportunities Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment with a focus on electrical systems. Fault-find and repair equipment using PLCs and other control systems. Conduct diagnostics, identify root causes of equipment failures, and implement effective solutions. Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing enhancements to equipment and processes. Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure effective communication and handover between shifts. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues promptly. Experience: Third level qualification in Engineering discipline or Engineering apprenticeship Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar) and experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems. Dual-skilled in both electrical and mechanical maintenance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of health and safety practices and procedures. Ability to work on a shift pattern, with a majority of the shifts being day shifts.
