Claytex have a vacancy for a dedicated and motivated Radar Systems Engineer to join our team working on the development of our AVSandbox solutions for autonomous vehicle simulation, development and testing.
You will be working as part of a team that is developing the simulators that will be used to create a virtual test drive for autonomous vehicles and enable virtual testing of ADAS features. You will be involved in the development and setup of the complete simulators, sensor models, test scenarios and working with customers to integrate their use into their process.
The focus of this role is on the development of the radar sensor models and the related test and validation procedures. Within the AVSandbox solutions we have two types of model: real-time and more detailed ray tracing based radar models. The detailed ray tracing models focus on delivering the raw radar chip output with a separate signal processing stack that could be provided by the sensor supplier.
Experience in one or more of the following is essential:
- Modelling of radar and have a good understand of the physics involved in how these sensors work.
- Knowledge of radar signal processing techniques
- Programming in C++
- Creation and execution of test, characterisation and validation processes
- Experience of autonomous vehicle simulation platforms such as rFpro
The job title might be referred to as a Project or System Engineer. The salary range will be £35-50k plus pension, depending on experience. We are operating a hybrid work arrangement enabling a mix of working at home and in the office.
