Laboratory Technician – Metals Analysis Location: Tamworth, Staffs Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (plus annual performance bonus) Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 Are you experienced in laboratory techniques and looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Laboratory Technician with a strong background in metals or precious metals analysis to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: * Perform laboratory analyses using ICP-OES, XRF, and Leco Carbon Analyzers. * Conduct wet chemistry techniques, including pipetting and fire assay (desirable but not essential). * Handle metals, precious metals, and powders, with expertise in moisture analysis. * Prepare samples using techniques such as milling, sieving, and splitting. Qualifications and Experience: * Degree in a Scientific discipline (or relevant A-Levels with strong experience). * Hands-on experience in metals and precious metals testing is highly desirable. * Excellent understanding of sample preparation and moisture analysis.
