JOB PURPOSE As a Sales Trainer for apprenticeships, your primary role is to deliver virtual classroom sessions to apprentices enrolled in our Sales programs, ensuring they make steady progress toward their End Point Assessment. Collaborating closely with the apprentices' line managers and Development Coaches, you will be responsible for designing and delivering training sessions aligned with the curriculum and facilitating seminar-style coaching sessions. Your focus will be on fostering the development of skills and knowledge aligned with the apprenticeship standards. Ultimately, your responsibility is to help apprentices build a strong foundation by imparting your expert sales knowledge and experience at the start of their careers.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach cohorts of apprenticeship learners (both new hires and existing staff)
Ensure your own skill set is kept up to date and relevant, attending training courses to further your personal development and knowledge, completing a minimum of 30 hours CPD per annum in line with the apprenticeship standard you deliver upon.
To create an engaging and productive learning environment for all apprentices
Manage the apprentice experience of the virtual classroom, dealing with any disciplinary and classroom management issues, taking registers and reporting absence.
Coaching, supporting and mentoring all apprentices to ensure they have acquired the technical skills and knowledge to achieve the standard requirements through classroom, online and remote delivery training.
Providing constructive, high-quality feedback on learner assignments in the Apprentify VLE
Teaching seminar sessions for different apprenticeships aligned to subject matter specialisms as required by the cohort/client
Maintain appropriate tracking systems and procedures relating to quality, compliance, management and assessment
To be committed to Health & Safety awareness inclusive of Safeguarding and Prevent
Monitoring and reviewing learner welfare on a regular basis, taking any necessary action to limit the number of early leavers from the programme.
Managing and completing both business and personal administration within given timescales i.e. learner satisfaction results, expenses, review documents, reports etc.
Upskilling learner’s knowledge regarding Safeguarding, Prevent and Equality of Opportunity rights and responsibilities.
Supporting the development of new programme curriculum.
Working with the employer/Development Coach(s) to set projects for the apprentice
Any other duties commensurate within the role.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience of work in Sales environment
A recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training)
To hold (or pass) an Enhanced CRB check
Time management and working to deadlines
Pastoral welfare of young people and colleagues
Outstanding organisational and time management skills
Ability to work in a flexible manner, adapt to different environments and solve problems independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage diary effectively
Excellent understanding of apprenticeship programme
Knowledge of apprenticeship sector & funding / regulatory rules
Knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF)
