Senior Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out

Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the financial and commercial aspects of fit-out projects, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget. Your main duties will include: * Preparing and managing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities * Leading cost estimation, value engineering, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle * Conducting detailed cost analysis, risk assessments, and producing financial reports * Managing budgets, project costs, and ensuring value for money for both the company and clients * Overseeing procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors * Administering contracts and handling variations, claims, and final accounts * Providing expert advice on commercial strategy and contract selection * Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders * Mentoring and developing junior members of the quantity surveying team What We’re Looking For: * Consultancy experience in the construction or fit-out industry is desired * Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field * Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record in retail, hospitality, leisure, or healthcare fit-out projects * In-depth knowledge of contract administration (JCT, NEC, etc.) and cost management * Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and communication skills * Ability to manage high-value, complex projects independently * Leadership skills and experience in mentoring junior staff * High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving skills What We Offer: * Competitive salary between £50,000 - £70,000, depending on experience * Company car or car allowance * Holiday entitlement and pension scheme * Career progression opportunities in a growing company * The chance to work on prestigious projects with well-known clients * A collaborative and supportive team environment in a vibrant city
