For a large US electronics company (4 billion USD+), we are looking to appoint to our new Commercial Planning Director (EMEA). Position based in London, hybrid.The Director, Commercial Planning plays an integral role in driving business planning and marketplace management for the EMEA region. This role is responsible for monthly business executive reviews, pricing and promotions optimization, and the alignment of the EMEA approach to marketplace management with global approach. The director will ensure that business planning is conducted effectively at annual, quarterly, and monthly levels, working closely with EMEA SS&A country pods and Strategy & Transformation team.Your role: Own monthly business executive reviews, ensuring accurate forecasts based on robust data and assumptions, and alignment with EMEA leadership teamSet up and drive the governance and continuous optimization of EMEA pricing and promotionsPartner with global team to frame the EMEA approach to marketplace management, ensuring consistency and alignment with local requirements within the regionDrive the drumbeat of annual, quarterly and monthly business planning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve planning and execution timelines and results.Lead special or ad-hoc commercial transformation initiatives to support overall EMEA growth and continuous optimization, engaging and enrolling cross-functional teams to implement and drive changeYour profile: 10+ years of experience in a FMCG business or commercial planning and analytics roleStrong commercial acumen with the ability to understand market trends, competitive landscape and commercial implications to make informed business decisionsPossesses strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and critically on the best course of actions to achieve desired outcomesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and coordinate cross-functional teams, and influence at various levelsComfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent problem solving mindset and willingness to take initiativeAbility to travel as needed
