If you want to join an agile, successful and well-established organisation, with a proven track record of colleague development and internal promotions, look no further than Ascent.Your key responsibilities as a Conveyancing Fee Earner would be:Dealing with all aspects of the residential process on behalf of our clients, mortgage lenders, who have repossessed residential properties due to mortgage arrears or another breach.Supporting with preparation of memos of sales and auction packsOrdering management pack and exchange and completionsReviewing residential titles on instruction from Client and providing Reports on title.Preparing, reviewing and issuing sales contracts and supporting documents.Answering client queries, providing status advice and keeping all parties informed on progress of sale.Liaise with asset managers to provide a smooth transaction.Dealing with exchange of Contracts in a timely manner.Supporting with post sales matters including distribution of surplus funds as and where applicable.Skills/Experience RequirementsPrevious experience within a paralegal role covering Conveyancing.Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including a minimum C grade in English and MathsHas a professional and committed attitude and seeks to aspire to targets setComputer literate in all Microsoft Office programsHas a strong attention to detailExcellent Verbal and Written Communication SkillsSound knowledge of law and legal SystemStrong organisational skillsFamiliar with electronic document management and filing systemsHigh level of discretion with confidential mattersLaw degree or equivalentKnowledge of CPR RulesExperience of working for financial services’ businesses in a legal environment.Experience of working in the legal industry and/or in-house with a top financial services organisation.What we offer youHybrid workingCompany Pension Scheme22 days holiday, plus bank holidays (We have a buying holiday scheme that allows you to buy additional holidays during the annual holiday year)Health cash planCritical illness coverDiscounted legal servicesSeason ticket loansDiscounted online shoppingDiscounted gym membershipsCycle to work schemeFurther InformationAs part of the Ascent on-boarding process all successful applicants are required to complete the group’s employment screening process.
