Role: 1:1 Learning and Behaviour Support Assistant Location: Southampton Pay: £12.82-£14.72 an hour Start date: October 2024 Hours: 8:30am- 3:30pm Monday to Friday, term-time only   Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant with previous experience supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs? GSL Education are supporting a fantastic local mainstream primary school who are in search of an experienced teaching assistant who can support a pupil who requires 1:1 and small group support. The role will consist of providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, including complex behaviour. The ideal candidate will be confident working with SEN pupils, and be able to tailor and adapt support accordingly to respond effectively to the needs of the pupils. This role is term-time only, 8:30-15:30 Monday to Friday, on a temporary basis initially, but with scope to become permanent.   The ideal candidate will: Have lots of patience, be proactive and committed to providing high-quality support Ideally you will have prior experience working with children Have a strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with pupils Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Role of a 1:1 Learning and Behaviour Support Assistant: Supporting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson for the 1:1 pupil, ensuring that the pupil is engaged and included.   Helping to create materials and resources for the 1:1 pupil, working closely with the teacher and other members of support staff.
