Job Description: Business Development Manager (BDM) Company: Eagle Security Protection Location: Birmingham Type: Full-time Salary: £45,000 per annum plus 2% commission on all revenue generated above target Reports to: CEO  Job SummaryEagle Security Protection is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth and expand our client base. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive, target-driven individual with a deep understanding of the security industry to significantly impact the company's growth. The BDM will identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and secure contracts, playing a key role in shaping the company's future.Key Responsibilities- Business Development Strategy - Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectives. - Identify target markets, key decision-makers, and business prospects in need of security services. - Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed of industry trends and identify potential opportunities. - Lead Generation & Client Acquisition - Proactively generate leads through networking, cold calling, online research, attending industry events, and other lead-generation methods. - Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, consistently meeting and exceeding targets for new business acquisition. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and referral partners to enhance business opportunities. - Sales and Contract Negotiation - Present and promote Eagle Security Protection’s services to prospective clients through meetings, presentations, and proposals. - Prepare and submit competitive proposals and bids that align with client needs and company objectives. - Negotiate terms and close deals, ensuring contracts are profitable and compliant with legal and operational requirements. - Client Relationship Management - Establish and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients to drive retention and growth. - Provide exceptional customer service by regularly engaging with clients to assess their ongoing security needs and identify additional service opportunities. - Act as a liaison between clients and the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and address any concerns. - Collaboration & Reporting - Work closely with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and finance, to align business development activities with overall company goals. - Provide regular updates to senior management on progress, market conditions, and business opportunities. - Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management review. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Management, or Finance. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred. Certifications: Optional certifications like Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP) or industry-specific credentials (e.g., CPP) are a plus.  Experience Industry Experience: Minimum 5-10 years in business development or sales, preferably within the security services sector.
