Business Rates Surveyor

Based in the City of London we currently occupy two floors of Forum House with our growing staff, in excess of 90 people.Due to our rapid and continued growth trajectory, and the significant investment into our Property Tax division, we are now looking to recruit a specialist Surveyor within Business Rates to join our team. With some potential coverage of the south-east, the primary bulk of client management will be across the midlands and the north. Therefore, the ideal candidate would either be based north of the midlands and happy to come into the London office twice a month; or alternatively be based in London but happy to travel for client meetings.Key Responsibilities:Provide tailored rates appeal and mitigation advice to major clients across various sectors within commercial real-estateManage your own client portfolio, built from the new business won by our in-house business development teamDevelop strong business relationships with both new and existing clientsAssist and advise developer and landlord clients throughout the development cycle, including deletion/RV appeals, completion notices and mitigation strategiesPreparing documents for tribunal casesExperience Required:2+ years’ experience in Business Rates surveyingKnowledge and understanding of rating legislation and case lawProven experience in providing rating advice and negotiating appealsSolid general surveying and inspection skillsMRICS qualification is desirable, but not essentialAt RCK Partners, we ensure that our people are compensated well for the work they do which includes a highly competitive benefits package:Benefits:5% employer-based Pension contributionPrivate Medical Cover via BUPAIncome ProtectionLife AssuranceAn expansive benefits window, with the flexibility to add additional benefits throughout the year
