Streetmason Improver

Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of highways, sewers, and watercourses. * Lay paving products such as slabs, kerbs, blocks, concrete paving, and natural stone. * Use power-assisted tools, minor plant, and machinery. * Drive, clean, and carry out routine maintenance of vehicles and plant. * Plan and prioritize work activities to meet productivity targets. * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Works Specifications. Requirements: * Experience as a Streetmason or in a similar role within the construction industry. * Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements. * Ability to work closely in a team under the guidance of a Site Team Leader or Supervisor. * A driving licence is desirable but not essential. Additional Information: * The role involves working on-site anywhere within the city and occasionally further afield. * Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet operational needs. * Participation in the City Highways out-of-hours standby rota is expected.
