Job Requirements / Description
Our client is looking for a Chef de Partie to join their team. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring quality and presentation meet the establishment's standards.
Station Management: Oversee a specific section (e.g., pastry, grill, sauté) and manage all aspects of that station during service.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and maintain a positive working environment.
Inventory Control: Assist in managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
Training: Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices, providing guidance on techniques and safety standards.
Quality Control: Monitor food quality and portion sizes to ensure consistency and compliance with health regulations.
Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Culinary Skills: Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and culinary skills; formal culinary education is a plus.
Creativity: Ability to contribute to menu development and innovate with seasonal ingredients.
Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
Capability to work in a high-pressure environment.
