Machine Mechanical Engineer/ Fitter / Technician

Due to continued investment, our client a successful food manufacture are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/ Fitter. You will be responsible for all reactive and planned (PPM) maintenance within a busy food manufacturing site, supporting hygiene and engineering teams.

Role

• Complete all Tasks to the highest standard ensuring, quality, safety and hygiene standards are met.
• Work as part of a team, to meet key deadlines and kpi's
• Removal of machinery components
• Inspect and check all parts whilst covers are removed and report any damage or failed parts (bearings corroded/seized, guides worn/damaged, any damage to machinery, etc).

Skills

• A basic knowledge of mechanical engineering covering greasing and basic maintenance
• Ability to spot faults and or damage to machinery.
• Experience of working in a fast-moving FMCG / Food Manufacturing industry.
• Team player
• Good English skills written and spoken
• Experience in a fast paced production / manufacturing environment
• CI Mindset to make a difference
• Strong focus on health and saftey
