Commercial Manager

Commercial Manager We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join one of the most renowned tier 1 main contractors in the UK. This contractor is committed to delivering excellence and undertakes sizeable projects across the commercial, healthcare, education, student accommodation and logistics & distribution sectors, often valuing in excess of £100mil. Projects are procured through competitive / negotiated tendering and are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract. They operate out of several regional offices and operate nationally. About the role of Commercial Manager: As Commercial Manager, you will be working as the Commercial Lead on an upcoming project in Chichester. You will be managing the project through the pre-construction phase and leading the commercial team on site which will be made up of 4 or 5 Surveyors. You will be working closely with the operational lead to ensure the project is kept on programme and meeting expected budgets. Key responsibilities as Commercial Manager: Manage the project through the pre-construction period Oversee all sub-contract procurement Be the main point of contact for the client and liaise with progress updates Collate monthly CVRs and report to the board Oversee the performance of the commercial team, providing guidance and support at all levels Key requirements for this Commercial Manager position: Have a proven track record of delivering sizeable projects commercially Be proficient in administering JCT forms of contract (NEC is highly beneficial) Live in a commutable distance to Chichester and be happy to travel to site Have the full right to work in the UK This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading main contractor with a huge presence on the South Coast and strong pipeline of work.
