Assistant Technical Manager Location: North London Salary: Circa £40k Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, flexible working available Why This Role? As an Assistant Technical Manager, you’ll work closely with our Technical Manager to ensure every product meets our high standards. What You’ll Do: * Support Quality Control: Assist in maintaining strict quality controls and ensuring compliance with industry standards, HACCP, and customer requirements. * Audit Preparation: Help prepare for various audits, including BRC and organic certifications, ensuring all processes are audit-ready. * Monitor Production: Oversee traceability, product tests, weight control, and consistency across production. * Drive Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in processes and product quality, working with teams to implement solutions. * Collaborate: Work closely with Quality Assurance, Production, and Engineering teams, supporting New Product Development (NPD) trials and ensuring site operations run smoothly. What You Bring: You have experience in food manufacturing, ideally in bakery. A solid understanding of HACCP and at least Level 2 Food Safety certification are required. A forklift license and experience in health and safety are beneficial. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach will help you succeed in this role.
