Our client, a prominent real estate developer and investment firm in the UAE, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Capital Management. This role will be pivotal in driving investment governance, optimizing capital financing activities, and leading financial planning processes to support strategic business decisions. The successful candidate will bring extensive expertise in corporate finance and investment analysis, contributing to the firm's growth and success in a dynamic market. Job location: United Arab Emirates (relocation is required) Responsibilities : Capital Investments Lead improvements in the Investment Appraisals Framework, ensuring proper investment governance. Define key profitability metrics for investment decision-making. Craft technical papers supporting proposed improvements in the Investment Appraisals Framework. Develop templates for Investment Committee (IC) submissions. Review IC deal submissions and audit investment models submitted by businesses, identifying key risk and return drivers. Conduct periodic investment performance measurement and attribution analysis. Capital Financing Execute live transactions and manage the transaction process, liaising with counterparties, advisors, etc. Define optimal capital and debt structure for the group/business segments. Execute periodic reviews of group/subsidiary return hurdles and cost of capital. Lead ad-hoc credit analysis and support dealings with credit rating agencies. Lead the annual exercise on dividend policy and dividend calculation. Financial Planning & Analysis Lead the preparation, update, and overall management of the 5-year Corporate Business Plan and Forecasting. Develop a capital allocation framework to revamp the business planning process, focusing on timing, automation/digitization, and monitoring of underwriting vs. actuals. Develop new reporting and analytical tools for insights on returns to shareholders, business segment performance, and attribution analysis versus budget and business plan. Lead the development of periodic financial reports and Board/Executive Committee presentations in collaboration with the Group Finance team. Leadership Lead the Corporate Finance department in managing critical functions related to investment and capital financing analysis. Manage strategic planning and execution of budgeting and forecasting cycles. Requirements : Experience Minimum of 14 years in a diverse financial environment or blue-chip corporate environment, with strong exposure to corporate finance, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and investment analysis. Minimum of 6 years in a managerial position. Experience in the real estate or related industry is preferred. Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy. Ability to develop financial reports and presentations. Interpersonal Skills Strong communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in a team. High level of professional and personal ethical standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance or economics from a reputable university; a Master's degree is preferable.
