Class Teacher – Bristol
Start - NOVEMBER 2024
A mixed-age alternative provision in Bristol are currently seeking a Class Teacher to start as soon as possible. The incoming teacher will be working with a range of abilities. These pupils have been placed in a specialist provision school due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs that make mainstream education inaccessible to them.
The incoming Teacher will be expected to facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential, meeting EHCP targets. This will involve an appropriately differentiated curriculum, and the successful Teacher will be working with a small, mixed-ability class. This will involve working with Teaching Assistants to produce a cohesive and engaging classroom environment, maximising potential. Requirements include:
Experience with SEN and vulnerable young people in an educational setting. QTS. Experience leading a core subject. Assessors qualification or willingness to work towards one. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. (Teaching Personnel can assist in the process) Professional childcare references covering the past 2 years. This is a temp to perm role, in which the incoming teacher may be offered a school contract after a successful trial period through Teaching Personnel, starting as soon as possible. You will receive PAYE on a weekly basis on Timesheets through Teaching Personnel (no umbrella company or agency fees;l with a daily rate pro-rata from M1-UPS3 pay scale (£28,000 – £43,685) plus 1 SEN point. Registration with Teaching Personnel is required.
