Thorn Baker is working in partnership with an outstanding SME based in the North West of the UK, to source an experienced Sales and Bids Executive to join an established sales team.

What you ll be doing

This role is about generating and converting sales opportunities and leads, it is a targeted role, and will carry a personal target. You will be responsible for managing your own sales opportunities and pipeline, opportunities require the ability to present to Senior Managers and influence at Board-Level, experience in this field is a must.

The role enjoys a high degree of autonomy whilst working in a closely collaborative team, you will be reporting directly into the Head of Business Development.

Exposure to writing quality bids and tenders is preferable, alongside a proven track record of converting new business to increase total revenue across the whole business.

Responsibilities

  • To continue providing support and account Management to Key Accounts
  • Finding new clients and promoting the business
  • Following up on client leads
  • Being knowledgeable about products and services offered by the business
  • Selling products and services in person and over the phone/teams
  • Think strategically, seeing the 'bigger picture' and setting aims and objectives to develop the business and up selling additional services.
  • Evaluate customer's needs and build productive long-lasting relationships
  • Meet personal and team sales targets, including Key Performance Indicators as set by the business.
  • Raising the company profile by attending exhibitions and seminars
  • Being aware of market trends and competitors
  • Complying with regulations a laws of business development
  • Work with the Regional Manager and Area Managers to develop and implement new business for the region/service areas, but also to understand the overall business objective by working closely with different areas of the business
  • Provide monthly update of Sales Board and New Business Report

What skills & experience you ll bring to the team

  • Experience of selling across a range of soft FM services to commercial industries.
  • Able to demonstrate extensive experiences as Business Development Manager within the facilities industry.
  • Personable and approachable with an ability to influence through personal credibility and impact.
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets.
