Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer or Seniod Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client in Burton on Trent.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced all round Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 5+ years' experience in Solidworks for the Senior role and 10+ years' experience for the Lead role.

Job Description: You will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of the key product line. With a focus on Electro-Mechanical components and fabricated parts, your responsibilities will include:

• Ownership:Lead the design process for crucial product lines, ensuring excellence at every stage and mentor Junior Design Engineers.
• Engineering Excellence:Using Solidworks, create customer bespoke and company standard fabricated designs of products. An understanding of Electrical Harness Routing would be very beneficial but not essential
• Collaboration:Liaise with various departments, including purchasing and production, to deliver designs from concept to completion.
• Manufacturing Expertise:Apply your proficiency in manufacturing methods, encompassing Sheet Metal, Steel and Metal.

Key Attributes:

• Expertise:Demonstrate 5 to 10 years' of hands-on experience in Mechanical Design Engineering in a Senior or Lead role.
• CAD Proficiency:Display excellent proficiency in Solidworks and must have PDM knowledge
