Warehouse Supervisor – Theale, Berkshire. We are looking to recruit and experienced warehouse supervior to work for an electrical components and Networking distribution company based in Theale in Berkshire. Job Description and responsibilities: The role of the warehouse supervisor is to supervise all the day to day activities in the warehouse, to ensure all activities are carried out effectively. The role also involves a number of key operational administrative tasks, these are typically linked to stock management and the effective processing of purchase and sales orders through operations. As the Senior person within the operations, you will be expected to demostarte a high level of professionalism and integrity. The role will involve close co-operation with all internal departments , in particular Sales and Technical Support and finance. Overall Responsibilities We ae loooking for a person to supervise all the all to day activities in the Warehouse. You will also be responsibe for managing the flow of Sale orders for despatch, You will be working closely with the operations Manager to help manage stock and other key aspects of the Operations deoartment, 1. Maintain and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouse services to optimise the benefits to customers, suppliers and the Company. 2. Help devise new procedures /systems reflecting the changing requirements of the Company. Specific Responsibilities The person will be responsible for the following: 1. Warehouse responsibilities - Supervising the following - a. Goods in receipts and stock arrival. b. Maintaining Goods in Quarantine procedures to ensure stock checks are carried out efficiently on all incoming stock. c. Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock e.g. carry out GRN bookings as required. d. Highlight any quantity or cost discrepancies immediately. e. Maintaining shelf stock and bulk stock areas with clear identification. f. Ensure Supplier rejects and repairs are receipted and dispatched within two weeks. g. Customer order dispatch within a timely fashion under the current company requirement. h. Maintain prescribed safety requirements in warehouse. 2. Stock a. Responsibility for accuracy of stock. b. Stock discrepancy - investigate and resolve. c. Maintain all Customer Bonded stock to optimised levels. 3. Managing and Development of Warehouse Personnel. a. The position may also be responsible for managing, directing, guiding and monitoring additional personnel to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the Warehouse Qualifications and Experience • Engineering/technical background and knowledge of electronic components would be beneficial. • Knowledge of ESD protection and procedures would be an advantage • Holder of a Reach Forklift Truck Certificate/License • Organised and self-motivated individual, able to work accurately and unsupervised Hours - Monday – Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm To discuss the role in more detail please send your CV via the CV Library Link or call Phil at Adept on (phone number removed) and he has more information on the position
