CNC Miller

CNC MILLER Our client are a precision engineering company based in Solihull. They have been established for over 60 years and manufacture parts into a number of prestigious companies. Markets that they supply into are mainly Aerospace, Oil and Gas and Defence. They also work a 4 day week, having Friday off. Due to an ever growing order book they are looking to recruit a CNC Miller on a permanent basis. You must be efficent in programming Mazak machining centres. CNC MILLER DUTIES Accurately plan the production method and create programmes by studying, drawings, Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), materials, specifications and the Work Order. Plan & specify tooling requirements for production, including any jigs & fixtures or special cutting tools. Read and interpret charts, drawings, layouts, work instruction, etc... Ensure machine processes are running at optimum efficiency with correct speeds and feeds Work to appropriate tolerances, carry out first-off, in-process and last-off inspection. Ensure all programs are saved in line with company procedures. Perform visual inspections as required. Undertake any off set or minor changes to programmes to produce quality components to drawing limits/customer requirements. Utilize appropriately calibrated micrometers, calipers, preset gauges etc... This is a great opportunity to join a great company in a modern manufacturing facility
