Head of Supply Chain - Retail

Procurement Heads' Industrial team is exclusively working with a well known global player in the leisure industry. They are looking for a Head of Supply Chain for a newly created role to focus on the supply and inventory for all retail items across their many UK sites. The Head of Supply Chain will transform the supply chain for approximately £70million of retail goods including; merchandise, food and beverage. You will lead the supply chain operations and drive efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation across the entire supply chain function. As Head of Supply Chain you will be responsible for; * Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy aligned with company objectives. * Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the supply chain to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. * Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the supply chain remains competitive and adaptable to changing market conditions. * Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. * Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and track the performance of the supply chain function. * Implement process improvements and optimisation initiatives to streamline operations and increase productivity. * Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of goods and services. * Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favourable terms and conditions while maintaining high standards of quality and service. * Inventory Control: Optimise inventory levels to balance the needs of customer demand and working capital requirements. * Implement inventory management systems and processes to accurately track inventory levels, minimise stockouts, and reduce excess inventory. * Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align supply chain activities with business objectives. * Lead cross-functional teams to address supply chain challenges, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. * Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, such as supply disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors. Skills and Experience * Ideally have supply chain experience from a B2C environment, including – Hospitality & Leisure, Entertainment Groups * Ideally Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration or similar * Proven experience in a senior leadership role within supply chain management, with experience in a similar capacity. * Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable supply chain strategies. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Salary & Benefits: * Salary £80- c£90,000 and bonus up to 20% * Pension scheme, Car Allowance (£450 a month), Family Private Health * Hybrid working ( 3 days a week in London / Surrey / Hampshire / Dorset/ Staffordshire / Warwickshire )
