Job Description Early Childhood Practitioner - PKC11964£9,882 - £10,617 (14.4 Hours per week, Term-time only)Comrie Primary School We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and innovative Early Childhood Practitioner to join our small, welcoming team. You should have a genuine interest and commitment to working with children in a professional capacity within an early learning and childcare environment. Our aim at Comrie Primary and ELC, is to provide child-centred early learning and childcare (aged 3-5 years) which reflects and responds to individual needs and identity. The ability to work in a team situation is essential and a flexible approach to working with young children and parents is required. The role is child focused which requires compassion, patience and sensitivity. A nurturing approach is also needed to generate a feeling of trust and safety for children and their family/carers. An interest in the development of children and their wellbeing is essential and knowledge of the emotion works programme and the UNCRC would be desirable. Previous experience supporting children with a range of Additional Support Needs would also be beneficial. Following our I CAN values, the important qualities of inclusion, creativity, ambition and nurture would be essential, alongside the ability to work in a team, and to respect confidentiality at all times. An interest in taking learning outdoors would be desirable in order to support and develop our regular trips to our local woodlands. The successful candidate will already hold an appropriate qualification eg. SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF Level 7 equivalent or SVQ 3 in Childcare and Education or SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People). You should also have the eligibility to register with SSSC.
