Quantity Surveyor

Job Title – Quantity Surveyor Sector – Fit-Out & Refurbishment Salary - £100,000 PA + Package + Bonus + Flexible Working Location – London Start Date – ASAP The Company A medium size Fit-Out / Refurbishment contractor is seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join their busy commercial team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in their central London office on some exciting projects. Project value typically range from £500k to £5M, mostly in the southern region. The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the surveying function reporting directly to the commercial manager. You will be working from their central London office, although they will be slightly flexible and allow working from home. * You will be responsible for the timely and accurate commercial control and associated reporting of project costs of either * The compiling and issuing of valuations / applications for payments * Preparing and analysing supplier and sub-contractor enquiries * To take responsibility to all aspect of sub-contract procurement, including financial management, payments, design portion allocation * Commercial reporting on matters such as cost / value reconciliations * The appointment and account management of sub-contractors * Issuing of contractual notices and evaluate loss and expense/acceleration claims * Where appropriate assisting the estimating department through the pricing of tenders * General contract administration * To take responsibility for the maximisation of profits on allocated projects * Liaising with the client, sub-contractors, design teams and other stakeholders * The preparation and agreement of final accounts About You * Ideally you will have a minimum of 4 Years experience working for a similar Fit-Out or Refurbishment contractor, although they will also consider candidates with other construction sector experience. * Relevant commercial degree HNC/HND – Not Essential * ‘Can do’ Attitude and want to earn plenty of money * Self-Motivated and effective use of Initiative * Strong reporting and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with all stakeholders Apply & Rewards For your skills and experience our client is looking to pay an excellent yearly salary of around £90,000 basic plus a package including bonus and flexible working.
