Your Role As a
VMware Specialist
, you will play an essential role in developing an
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
platform using VMware technologies such as
vRealize Orchestrator (VRO)
,
VMware Cloud Director (VCD)
, and
NSX-T
. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will architect, deploy, and optimise virtualised environments tailored to our client's specific needs.
Key Responsibilities Design and implement VMware-based IaaS solutions in line with client requirements and industry best practices. Configure and optimise
VMware vRealize Orchestrator (VRO)
workflows to automate provisioning, deployment, and management tasks. Deploy and manage
VMware Cloud Director (VCD)
instances, including resource pools, organisations, virtual data centres, and networking. Implement and configure
NSX-T
for software-defined networking (SDN) and security within the virtual environment. Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to integrate VMware solutions with existing systems. Provide technical support during the testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to VMware infrastructure. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including
architectural diagrams
,
standard operating procedures
, and
technical guides
. Stay informed on emerging VMware technologies, trends, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree
in
Computer Science
,
Information Technology
, or a related field. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing VMware virtualisation solutions, particularly
vRealize Orchestrator (VRO)
,
VMware Cloud Director (VCD)
, and
NSX-T
. Strong understanding of
virtualisation concepts
,
VMware vSphere architecture
, and related technologies. Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as
PowerShell
or
Python
for automating VMware environments. Deep understanding of
software-defined networking (SDN)
principles and extensive experience with
NSX-T
configuration and management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within an
Agile team environment
and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. VMware certifications
, such as
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
or
VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)
, are highly desirable.
