Events Account Manager - 12 month FTC initially

Salary: £33,000 - £40,000

Location: West Yorkshire

Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (Potential for more flexibility if required).

12-month fixed Term Contract

Are you a passionate events professional eager to bring your creativity to life by working with great clients on exciting and varied events across the UK?


We are looking for an experienced Events Account Manager to start initially on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave but with potential to go permanent. The role is working with a well-established and expanding Events Agency who deliver both virtual and live events to clients across the UK and Ireland.


We are looking for events professionals that have worked within an agency environment delivering different types of events from incentives, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, meetings, product launches and team building. It will also require experience of building client relationships and developing strategic relationships with suppliers.

What the role will involve:

  • End to end event management from briefing through to financial reconciliation
  • Creating detailed proposals and event briefs, client pitching and detailed cost sheets supporting account growth and opportunities.
  • Creating event project plans and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Building strong relationships with key clients.
  • Venue sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations
  • Full budget management
  • Negotiating costs with suppliers and clients
  • Delegate management
  • Delivering exceptional delegate experience with an above and beyond attitude.
  • Attending client and supplier meetings
  • Work with creative teams to develop event concepts and communication plans.
  • Carry out post event evaluation


Experience required

  • Events agency experience essential
  • Experience delivering a range of live events that could include incentives, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, meetings, product launches and team building events
  • Experience sourcing and communicating with suppliers
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Experience of budget management and reconciliations
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to adapt a ‘can-do’ and flexible attitude.
  • A creative and organised mindset, and ability to prioritise.
  • Ideas driven and able to bring new creative concepts for delivery and execution.
  • Able to work collaboratively with the team, but also thrive working independently.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to stay calm in an event execution environment.
  • Proven experience with IT programmes such as Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, CVENT, STOVA, Asana, CRM platforms.
