GCP DevOps Architect

Job Title: GCP DevOps Architect Location: Hybrid (South West) Contract Type: Outside IR35 Rate: £400/day About the Role: We are seeking an experienced GCP DevOps Architect to join our dynamic team on a hybrid basis in South West. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud projects and drive the architectural design and implementation of scalable, high-performance solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a GCP DevOps Architect, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, implementing DevOps practices, and ensuring the seamless integration of development and operations processes. You will collaborate closely with development teams to deliver robust, secure, and efficient cloud-based solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement GCP-based architectures to meet business requirements and ensure scalability, reliability, and security. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and streamline development workflows. Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate and deploy applications on GCP. Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency, performance, and security. Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and impact. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cloud technology, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps Architect or similar role, with a focus on GCP. Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager). Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes. Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance in a cloud environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
