Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the ongoing development and innovation of Elevate. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our product to stay ahead of the competition, while ensuring high scalability and efficiency.
This role requires a team-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in design discussions, whiteboarding, and pair programming sessions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with a focus on unit and acceptance testing.
- Deliver high-quality software, from development to deployment and ongoing monitoring.
- Refactor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing software solutions.
- Share constructive feedback with colleagues and foster a positive, growth-oriented team environment.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to supporting documentation.
- Practice continuous improvement (KAIZEN) by identifying and implementing ways to enhance processes, code, and team dynamics.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering scalable, fully-tested cloud-native solutions with AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS).
- Strong expertise in functional programming, particularly using Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Git, and OpenAPI.
- Solid experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Selenium and/or Cucumber for test automation.
