If you have some experience in Radiological Protection or looking to start your career, then this role is perfect for you! Benefits: Competitive Salary 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays Income protection Life insurance Pension scheme Career Progression Main Activities: The Radiological Protection Technician will: Give advice regarding the radiological protection constraints (shielding needs, operational constraints, waste management, etc.) Assess any civil and layout modifications that could impact the radiological and contamination zoning requirements of the building. Ensure compliance with UK Regulations regarding ionising radiation or clients Undertake studies and calculations relating to radiation and contamination Conduct in field assessment of monitoring/scanning equipment Deliver radiological protection training and RPS training to clients Provide analysis of the results and writing of technical reports Writes the radiation protection calculation reports in order to define the radiological zoning and contamination zoning of the buildings. Issues recommendations for protection screens: Defines the radiological classification of premises and systems. Defines the necessary protective devices and biological doors. Advises building leaders on the optimisation of premises.
