Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes during the absence of teachers, ensuring students remain focused on their work. Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Deliver pre-planned lessons and support students in completing their tasks. Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues that arise. Support the school’s ethos and policies, contributing to a safe and respectful learning environment. As a Cover Supervisor, essential requirements include the following: Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively. Flexible, adaptable, and able to work on short notice. A genuine interest in working with students and supporting their education Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to have one processed immediately. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the school day.
