Learning Mentor | Full Time Contract

Empowering Learning are delighted to be supporting a school in the central Derby are who are looking to appoint a learning mentor to begin work from November 2024. The hours of work will be 8:15-4pm and Monday to Friday. The main duties within this role will be: Providing 1:1 support to targeted pupils across KS2 Leading intervention groups around positive communication and teamwork Running academic intervention sessions to help children prepare for assessments Leading meet and greet sessions with children in the mornings to help them settle in to school Liaising with the class teachers and school SENCO around progress being made The school are looking for someone who: Has at least one years' experience working within a school Has a good understanding of supporting SEN children Has a teaching assistant qualification or a relevant degree Is able to build relationships with children Can be an effective communicator with colleagues and pupils To apply for the role, please send across your CV via the application page.
