You will be responsible for managing of £5m R&D activities and resources including day-to-day activity management R&D team management (15 researchers) laboratory management equipment and grants management Please see the person's specifications and roles & responsibilities below: Essential: Minimum M.Sc degree in chemistry 3 years of project management and financial management experience of R&D projects in the region of £1,000,000 p.a. Expertise in managing and reporting upon budgetary controls associated with R&D projects. Experience in working for startups or SMEs Familiarity and expertise in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, etc) Self-starter, able to design, implement and own project management systems. Desirable: PhD degree in construction or chemistry Experience with UKRI, DESNZ, EIC projects or equivalent grants Previous exposure to complex R&D projects, and or deep-tech start-ups Project management experience in relevant industry sectors – carbon capture/utilisation/storage, materials science, materials chemistry A wide range of contacts in the industry and/or academia with backgrounds in carbon capture/utilisation/storage, materials science, materials chemistry Benefits: C4C is seeking people who want to contribute to the mission of developing ground-breaking technology, with an entrepreneurial spirit and using their skills to build a more sustainable world.
