Compliance Business Analyst Inside IR35 - Hybrid 3 days onsite A leading global banking organisation is seeking a highly skilled Contract Compliance Business Analyst to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our banking functions adhere to regulatory controls and operational standards across multiple global jurisdictions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, experience in the investment banking sector, and the ability to bridge business requirements with compliance frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Work within a control-driven banking environment, contributing to robust compliance and regulatory standards. Provide quantitative analysis to support regulatory controls and compliance strategies across global jurisdictions. Elicit, document, and consolidate business requirements from various stakeholders, ensuring alignment and consensus on solutions delivered. Support transaction monitoring processes (e.g., Market Abuse surveillance, AML payment, and trade surveillance) by leveraging your deep understanding of these functions. Analyse front-to-back trade, order, and quote flows to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Provide broad knowledge on financial products, trade lifecycles, and related data attributes to support compliance initiatives. Define and implement business processes that support compliance frameworks and financial regulatory requirements. Key Requirements: Banking Experience: Previous experience in investment banking functions and a deep understanding of the need for control in a banking environment. Financial Regulatory Controls: Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements across multiple global jurisdictions. Quantitative Analysis: Advanced quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present actionable insights. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. Business Requirements Gathering: Proven experience in gathering, documenting, and consolidating business requirements from multiple stakeholders, ensuring clear and agreed-upon solutions. Transaction Monitoring & Trade Knowledge: Extensive experience with transaction monitoring functions (e.g., AML, Market Abuse), as well as understanding of front-to-back trading processes and trade surveillance. Technical Skills: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Advanced knowledge and experience of SDLC methodologies, ensuring alignment with compliance frameworks. SQL & Data Analysis: Strong SQL skills and experience in working with large data sets for compliance purposes. Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in MS Office tools to create reports, analyse data, and manage time-sensitive tasks effectively. Quality Assurance (QA): Strong QA experience in ensuring high standards of process and control implementation.
