Level 3 Nursery Practitioner | Battersea | Full Time | £28,600 paOur client is an Ofsted registered nursery, who aim to have fun whilst learning in a safe and stimulating environment to ensure that the progression into primary school is accomplished happily and with confidence.In this role, you will assist the Room Leader and team in providing high quality childcare and education appropriate to the age and stage of development of the children, all while maintaining a safe, secure and caring environment.Are you the right person for the job?The following criteria are essential for this roleRelevant childcare qualification in accordance with Ofsted Registration requirementsMinimum Level 3 NVQ in Childcare & EducationAble to work within a team and maintain good communicationMotivated with high energy levels and stamina Positive outlookCaring and friendly personalityConscientious, reliable and responsibleFlexible and adaptableWhat will your role look like?To assist the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in their careTo ensure all daily routines are adhered toAdopt a creative and innovative approach towards practice, by being open to opportunities for improvementsIn line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Plan and provide safe, appropriate, child-led and adult initiated experiences, activities and play opportunities indoor, outdoor and in out-of-setting contexts, which enable children to develop and learn Select, prepare and use a range of resources suitable for children’s ages, interests and abilities, taking account of diversity and promoting equality and inclusionMaintain children’s records and carry out assessmentsTo settle in new children and provide on-going support, liaising with parents and maintaining good communicationsUndertake laundry and kitchen cleaning duties dailyKeep Laundry/art areas and kitchen clean and tidy To assist in maintaining a safe, clean and tidy NurseryTo ensure nursery policies for health, hygiene and safety are adhered to, with particular attention to hygiene practices and the prevention of accidentsLock up and unlock Nursery premises if requiredTo keep abreast of current issues and attend training programs outside of working hours if necessaryContribute to and participate in team meetings/team activities, outside of working hours if necessaryEnsure all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the NurseryRespect confidentiality within the setting and maintain high standards of conduct in keeping with the nurseryCommunicate with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and efficient mannerTake reasonable care of yourself and others, to comply with the Nursery and Health and Safety policiesWhat can you expect in return?Regular staff eventsFully funded trainingStaff yogaAccess to discount shopping appWhat’s next?
