Pensions Investment Specialist

Investment Professional (IP) - Single Family Office A leading family office is seeking an Investment Professional (IP) to take a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Group’s investment strategy and risk management across equity investments (both public and private) and related asset classes. Reporting to senior leadership, the IP will oversee the Group’s investment holdings, total balance sheet, and work closely with the Investment Advisory Committee (IAC). Key Responsibilities: ~ Investment Strategy: Collaborate with the IAC to develop and implement strategies for the Group’s private equity and public market investments. This includes leading teams in market and economic research, sourcing new investment opportunities, performing due diligence, and monitoring existing portfolios. ~ Risk Management: Manage risk within the Group’s defined appetite, ensuring adherence to the risk management framework and compliance with regulatory standards. This includes staying current with external and internal regulations. ~ Leadership: Lead an investment team, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented environment. As a voting member of the Equities Review Committee and other investment bodies, the IP will contribute to decision-making on key investment issues and strategies. ~ Portfolio Oversight: Oversee the performance of existing equity and private equity portfolios, making strategic adjustments as necessary to meet shareholder objectives, balancing risk and return. ~ Communication: Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders, including senior management and the Board, and keep them informed of the Group’s view on global economic and financial market developments. The IP will also ensure proper external relationships with brokers, advisers, and relevant institutions. ~ Other Asset Classes: The IP will also contribute to related asset classes such as fixed income, hedge funds, and derivatives, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the Group’s investments. Experience & Skills: Extensive experience in investment management, with a proven track record in equity portfolio oversight. Strong academic background in economics or finance. Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience managing high-level relationships with stakeholders.
