Position: School Attendance Officer Location: Tower Hamlets Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and organized School Attendance Officer to join our team in Tower Hamlets. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting high levels of student attendance and punctuality, working closely with school staff, parents, and external agencies. Key Responsibilities: Monitoring and tracking student attendance and punctuality using SIMS (School Information Management System) Identifying patterns of absenteeism and working with families to address concerns Communicating with parents/carers regarding attendance issues Collaborating with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to support students Ensuring compliance with government attendance regulations Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports as requiredRequirements: Proven experience working with SIMS Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience working in a school environment or similar setting is desirable Knowledge of attendance policies and safeguarding procedures is an advantageWhy Join Us?
