As part of continued expansion, we are supporting a growing manufacturing business to hire a Supply Chain Manager to join them at exciting time. You will be responsible for overseeing the end to end supply chain for the business at a local and regional level, working closely with the senior leadership team to drive growth in this area of the business moving forward.


We are looking for a highly analytical, commercially minded and customer focused Supply Chain Manager who will be play an active role in overhauling, and subsequently modernising the supply chain function within the business. You will be a shrewd negotiator, but equally able to build loyalty and trust with a large range of suppliers and customers. Whilst you will be inheriting a supply chain team/function that is in a good place, there will no doubt be challenges along the way, so we want someone who is prepared to role their sleeves up and dive straight into this role to make change.


There is a lot happening within the business and lots to get your teeth stuck into from day one. The Supply Chain Manager role will put you right at the coalface of the business and offers some great longer-term opportunities within the wider business, so it's a great time to be coming on board!


Some of the key responsibilities for the Supply Chain Manager will include:

  • Actively monitoring and managing supplier performance to drive continuous improvement - Developing and implementing supplier metrics to evaluate and drive performance.
  • Demonstrate, lead and encourage best practice within the planning / supply processes to achieve continuous improvement, complexity reduction, and efficiencies
  • Work closely and support the Procurement function in negotiations with external stakeholders, manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Management of the end to end process in relation to raw materials and finished goods. Providing key insights into stock availability and inventory levels, supply forecasts.
  • Provide strategic input into Material, Distribution and Production Planning across the business.


The ideal candidate for the Supply Chain Manager role will have the following background:

  • Extensive Supply Chain management and leadership experience within a Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations and/or Distribution environment.
  • Strong S&OP knowledge and a highly analytical and strategic outlook.
  • Customer focused and commercially minded approach.
  • Someone who is decisive and able to provide fantastic leadership to a growing supply chain team.
