Data Center System Software Architect - Project Management / System Software / Operating Systems / Kernel / Networking Are you an experienced System Software Architect with solid OS, Kernel, Storage, Networking and/or Compiler experience? Do you want to join a globally recognised company and be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of systemic systems software for the company datacenter infrastructure (amongst numerous other tasks) If so, please keep reading. We're partnered with a leading tech company (the people behind a globally known social media platform) and they require a Data Center System Software Architect to join them on a hybrid model in London. As a Data Center System Software Architect you will be the bridge between various teams across countries, working closely with people from the data center infrastructure team, computing resource management team, SRE team, end business teams in different area, driving the stability engineering, performance optimization engineering, and new direction of system level hardware and software co-design. This is a full time, permanent role, working on a hybrid model in London International applicants are encouraged and visas and relocation can be arranged. What we look for is: BA/BS degree or above Project Management experience Many years of deep system software background (OS / Kernel / Storage / Networking / Compiler) Good understanding of datacenter system software knowledge, including but not limited to server architecture, CPU/GPU architecture, server firmware, OS, *nix Kernel, Datacenter networking, datacenter storage, compiler. Any of the following would be considered a plus: Effective communication skills to handle comms to teams, management and cross functional stakeholders at all levels. Experience working in a fast-moving environment where self-motivated, autonomy and self-decision making is needed Experience working in multi-time zones, multi-culture is preferred Passionate about the Internet industry and willing to grow with the company in the process of learning by dealing with emerging global issues and challenges.
