About the Role:As a Senior Content Strategist, you will sit within the growing Organic Performance department. As part of our digital performance offering, your role will be to manage content marketing strategies, specifically covering Digital PR, onsite content and SEO.This role will work primarily on the British Gas account as well as be the go-to specialist in Digital PR, Outreach and link earning (SEO).In the Senior Content & Outreach Strategist role, you will work closely with the Organic Performance (SEO) British Gas team, being the main day-to-day contact for Digital PR and content. Responsibilities include the delivery and management of content activity across the British Gas account, strategic direction and insights for both onsite and off-site content, management of external Digital PR agencies and client stakeholders as well shape and direct the OMD UK’s approach to Digital PR and link building for SEO.You will serve as a core source of information for the wider agency and clients on all things content and outreach, advocating the adoption of content strategies to drive performance. You will be provided with all the support required to perform your role. This ranges from proprietary tools to a wider team with expertise in all-round SEO and paid digital channels.Key responsibilities: · With the help of the Content Director and leadership within the OP team, become the main point of contact for content and Digital PR across the British Gas account · You’ll become the main point of contact across our Digital PR services with a performance (backlink building) lens, leading strategy and project management of all campaigns for British Gas and any other clients · The ability to project manage campaigns is essential, as is the experience of managing clients and internal and external stakeholders· Strong content and Digital PR knowledge, specifically in the role it plays to drive performance within SEO and other performance channels· Develop Digital PR strategies, using available tool stack and working with Organic Performance (SEO) client teams as well as other internal agency stakeholders. You should be able to use a data-led approach to provide evidence-based strategies to meet client objectives.· Ability to report on content performance (ROI analysis / post campaign analysis) of all Digital PR Campaigns and understanding of reporting metrics across performance and brand for this activity· Manage and lead workstreams with agencies we work with within OMG to deliver link earning campaigns (earn inbound links, journalistic coverage, etc.)About the Agency and Team:The Content Team is a team of 3 that sits alongside the Organic Performance (OP) Department. The OP team is comprised of 26 members ranging across a breadth of different skill sets all within SEO, owned and earned. We are a tight-knit bunch who are all about knowledge-sharing and upskilling each other.We have monthly pulse sessions where we share industry news and knowledge with the forum and get a good chance to nerd out over all things Content, SEO and digital. We also periodically attend industry events and conferences as a team.On the social side, the team has monthly department lunches where we rotate on the chair who gets to pick a place to go and have some lunch.
