We are looking for a number of Logistics Operatives for a 12 months contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs. Job description - the role As a Logistics Operative, you will help to drive our strategy to deliver a world class service to customers of our Large Engine products, by being part of a team responsible for developing new capabilities, processes and tools to be shared across our worldwide MRO Network. In this role, you will be part of a diverse and high performing team who take pride in setting the standard in compliance, safety, and delivery through a robust production system. As a Logistics Operative you will be responsible for: Logistics support; including receipt and dispatch of engines, modules and tooling, and moving engines between the EOS shop and Test Beds. Management of on-site tooling storage. This includes kitting sets of tooling prior to engine induction and providing a supply of any tools that are required ad-hoc throughout strip, repair and build. Coordination and completion of logistics related tasks to support in-shop engine services, including engine and non-module wash. General assistance to the Operations team to enable engine tasks to be completed efficiently including participation in loading/unloading, movement and bagging of engines including preservation checks. Support the movement of engines and material internally and externally as required. As well as be accountable for ensuring ERP compliance for material and tooling. Ensure all material or logistic risks that have potential to impact delivery are identified, prioritised, and escalated, where appropriate, within the wider organisation. Supporting booking in, picking, storage, and counting of material on site; as well as supporting functional improvement activities.What we require from the candidate: Knowledge of SAP, preferably warehousing & inventory management. Clean driving license. Having a forklift license would be advantageous. Knowledge of MS8/Part 145 systems is beneficial, but not essential. Manual handling essential due to the nature of the job; with good knowledge of quality tools, systems, and procedures. Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with experience of working in a demanding customer focused environment.
