Senior Risk Manager

A Lloyd's start-up is seeking it's first in-house risk manager. The role will focus on the qualitative aspects of risk management, including-Development of the risk target operating model, risk management strategy, risk appetites and tolerances and reporting to the Risk Committee, Board Risk Committee and Board-Development of the ORSA framework and ORSA report-Development and implementation of all risk policies for the London and European Office which includes but not limited to insurance risk, market risk, operational risk, credit and liquidity risk etcAs this is the first in-house risk manager, the role will grow over time as the business grows. You can expect plenty of diversity in the work. The business is led by some very experienced Lloyd's market veterans.We are looking for one of two types of risk management professional:-a risk management consultant with the Big4 or another consultancy, with the caveat that your experience needs to have covered the insurance sector at least in part-an in-house senior risk analyst/risk manager with (probably) a larger entity in the insurance market, who wants to work for a smaller, closely knit environment where you will be employee #20 not employee number #20,000Please note a range of qualifications are acceptable, including actuarial, risk management, GARP etc. Insurance experience is essential.A note to candidates: please note that due to the confidential nature of the search, only succesful candidates will be contacted.
