CNC Programmer

Overview We are now recruiting for a highly skilled CNC Programmer on behalf of our client based in Northampton. Operating out of a state of the art machine shop they are looking to employ a skilled CNC programmer to help support increased demands for their services. Job Type Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer you will be responsible for programming one-off and small batch sub-contract machined components for industries including Formula 1, Aerospace & Oil & Gas. You will be using Autodesk Powermill to program a variety of CNC machines The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes: * You will be a time served programmer with at least 2 years’ experience * The ability to understand and work with engineering drawings * Prior experience using Autodesk Powermill or a similar software. * You will be able to work with a variety of materials * Prior experience working with high tolerance F1 or aerospace components * Ability to work & problem solve unsupervised. Hours of work 38.5 hours per week Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications * A time served CNC Programmer with enthusiasm for the job is most important * A formal apprenticeship is desirable but not essential * Knowledge of Autodesk Powermill or similar is essential
